Allygroup is seeking experienced paralegals and junior lawyers for a secondment opportunity with a federal government agency. This role offers the chance to gain experience in various areas of law and build long-lasting contacts within the government sector. The position is set in a fast-paced and exciting environment, dealing with numerous complex pieces of legislation.
Key Details:
Duration: Six-month secondment with the possibility of extension
Location: Candidates must be based in Canberra.
Work Arrangements: Part-time options may be considered for the right candidate, but full-time is preferred
Security Clearance: NV1 security clearance or higher is required.
Responsibilities:
Support an anticipated increase in amendments to the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997 (FF(SP) Regulations).
Engage in privacy compliance and governance.
Provide legal assurance and litigation support.

Our ideal candidate would have experience in:
Legislative development and associated processes (especially in the development of legislative instruments)
Administering subpoenas and court orders
Undertaking legal research to support lawyers
Understanding relevant legislation and policy frameworks
Providing legal administrative support, including electronic filing and inbox management
