Allygroup is seeking Processing and Data Entry Officers (from the APS4 to APS6 equivalent level) to join a high profile Federal Government department in Canberra. This is an opportunity to gain APS administrative and processing experience and create long-lasting contacts in a Federal Government agency. This is a 4 month labour-hire contract opportunity with the potential to be extended for a further 6 months.
Allygroup is looking for candidate who are willing to do high volume processing work and support a hard-working team.
Candidates must be Australian citizens, Canberra-based, and available on a full-time basis.
Candidates must hold an NV1 security clearance minimum.
About the role:
Under the relevant program in the requesting Federal Government department, a discrete cohort of applications (approximately 10,000) remain to be processed. The department requires additional resources to process this outstanding cohort of applications in a timely manner.
The work is predominantly data entry, ensuring that particulars of each application are correctly entered into specified templates. Applications will then be assessed and a recommendation will be made to the relevant decision-maker.
A simple workflow tool has been developed for contractors to follow to complete this task. The tool guides users as to the data required in each field, which is drawn from the individual program applications. The department will train the contractors on the correct use of the tool and any other related tasking.
Contractors will be required to observe the Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Contractors will be required to work flexibly across application processing and quality control.
Contractors will also be required to meet established key performance indicators, based on number of applications processed and rate of error.
Required candidate skills include:
High level of attention to detail;
Excellent time management, and ability to manage competing priorities;
Effective written and oral communication;
A familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
Ability to follow agreed processes and procedures; and
Ability to be self-motivated and also work collaboratively within a team.
In addition, our ideal candidate will:
Will have experience with either applying legislation to decision making and processing work or varied administrative responsibilities;
Possess high levels of integrity, probity and behavioural standards;
Have excellent time management and task prioritisation skills;
Be able to exercise sound judgement and analytical skills; and
Be able to work well under pressure.
