Paralegal / Graduate Lawyer

Allygroup is seeking a legally trained individual, preferably with Compensation for Detriment caused by Defective Administration (CDDA) experience, to join an important federal government agency. This is a secondment opportunity, commencing immediately and concluding at the end of June 2025.

Ideal candidates will be able to work from the Canberra offices, full-time. However, off-site and part-time (3 to 4 days per week) arrangements will also be considered for the right candidate.

Candidates must be Australian citizens.

 

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of briefs, templates, and other supporting materials to enable the transition of the CDDA function to program areas.

  • Providing advice in relation to CDDA claims, such as the immunity provisions under the Biosecurity Act 2015.
